Revealed: 'Jihadi Sid' was arrested SIX times on terror offences before fleeing to Syria - but police wrote to him explaining his bail conditions six weeks AFTER he left

Siddhartha Dhar was arrested before joining ISIS in Syria
Siddhartha Dhar, 32, also known as Abu Rumaysah, pictured left in a BBC interview, had been arrested six times on terror-related offences before he was detained in September 2014 and placed on a terror watchlist for encouraging terrorism and supporting banned group Al-Muhajiroun. But within 24 hours he was able to travel from London to Paris by coach with his wife and four children before arriving in Syria via Turkey. Police only discovered Dhar had left the country when the Counter Terrorism Unit wrote to him on 7 November 2014 (right) - more than a month after he had been ordered to hand over his passport - to say their records 'suggested' he had not complied with the conditions of his bail.
