Two road fatalities in Portland
Windsor, PORTLAND - Portland recorded two additional road fatalities Sunday morning from two different accidents occurring at the same place, Windsor Castle along the North Coast Highway. Fourteen people were hospitalised.
The dead persons have been identified as David Bailey 31, of Annotto Bay St Mary and Rushane Williams of Lawrence Tavern St Andrew.
The Buff Bay police report that at about 3:30 this morning morning a Leyland Crosdale truck was travelling in an easterly direction along the aforementioned road and a Mazda Bango bus driven by David Bailey which was travelling in the opposite direction collided. The driver of the truck said he saw the van coming towards him and he went towards the left and the vehicle came over and collided with the truck.
