The three raiders, who were dressed in white boiler suits and balaclavas, were seen running from the store in Grimsby (pictured left and right), clutching onto bags full of high-value rings, necklaces and bracelets. Minutes earlier, the trio had smashed their way into Hewitt & Son jewellers (pictured inset) with a bat, a machete and a sledgehammer before threatening members of staff. The incident, which was filmed on a mobile phone by passer-by Tina Redgrift, triggered the shop's security system, causing smoke to pour out of the building onto the street. Humberside Police are now looking for the culprits after finding the getaway car, a Mazda 3, abandoned nearby.
