From the private jets to the reality star girlfriend, rapper Tyga carefully crafts his public persona to make fans envious of his lifestyle.

And true to form he opened the doors of his luxury $40,000 a month rented mansion to DuJour magazine.

Featuring dramatic architecture, concrete walls, floor to ceiling glass windows and with amenities including a full size pool table, it made for a dramatic, if rather sparse, backdrop.

But it appears Tyga may have inadvertently revealed more about himself than he intended.

They write: 'The girl’s hair is matted and slept-on, the extension tape visible from the back, and she taps her toe nervously while awaiting her ride. She is clearly wearing last night’s shorts.'

While Tyga refused to answer questions about his relationship status, he was first linked to Mercado during a brief breakup with girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

The two were also pictured out together in Los Angeles in January.

The 26-year-old's romance with Kim Kardashian's little sister is a staple on the gossip pages. 

And while he did not mention her in his interview, Tyga told DuJour about his friendship with Kanye West, Kylie's brother-in-law.

'You learn something by just having a conversation with him,' Tyga tells DuJour of Kanye. 'And he listens, and that’s the thing I do.

'I listen to everybody and then I take it and put my own thought on it. That’s just how life is. God puts us in places. It’s for you to make the decision whether you go left or right.'
