In total, Shaina, from Brooklyn in New York, USA, shot 30 pairs of dogs for the project, which has since been turned into her first book.
Dogs that featured in the shoots ranged from pugs to Dalmatians, with Shaina, 33, combining dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes.

The idea for the project came to Shaina early in her photography career when she captured two bulldogs, a puppy and an adult, interacting.
