Antiques dealer, 50, is found battered to death with injuries so severe police 'thought she had been shot' as they arrest 52-year-old man on suspicion of murder

A murder probe has been launched after a woman, named locally as Robyn Mercer, 50, was found dead outside a house in Surrey this morning with a man, 52, arrested in connection with the killing. Officers cordoned off a road in West Molesey (pictured left and right) today while forensic teams carried out searches after the woman was found battered to death with injuries so severe 'it looked like she had been shot'. Surrey Police confirmed the man was being questioned on suspicion of murder.
