Former topless model Linda Lusardi has told how she was 'numb with shock' and feared she had cancer after doctors found a 9cm tumour on her womb.
The 57-year-old actress, who starred in Emmerdale, immediately thought the worst when she was confronted with the worrying results following a scan.
However Linda told the Mirror that, after a anxious wait, she eventually found out the tumour was benign and is now recovering after undergoing a hysterectomy last week.

Recalling the appointment when she got her diagnosis, Linda explained that at first she was too shocked to cry.
But she said: 'I got into my car to call my husband Sam. When I heard the word "tumour" coming out of my mouth it really hit me. You think: "What will my family do if I die?".During an agonising three week wait, the actress - originally from Wood Green in London - kept her health fears from her children Lucy, 19, and Jack, 16, and tried to block out her worries by keeping busy.
It wasn't the first time Linda had experienced a cancer scare, as she'd previously had eight benign cysts drained from her breasts.

She tried to keep past experience in mind, but admitted that she couldn't help fearing the worst.
The loss of her friend Bernie Nolan, 52, who died from breast cancer two years ago, also weighed on her mind and she admits that she was worried she would suffer the same fate.
She said: 'I’ve had that fear of thinking I could have cancer before with them so you try not to stress. But at the back of your mind you do wonder, "What if this time my luck’s run out?"

The ex-Dancing On Ice contestant, who was voted the best Page 3 girl of all time in 2005, was referred for a scan in November, after she notice a bulge in her stomach and discovered a hard lump.
Two weeks later the star of The Bill and former Loose Women panelist had an MRI scan, after which she had to wait days for the results.
