The federal Government has extended the public holidays for the Eid- el- fitir celebration to Thursday 7/7/2016 .according to a statement from the office of Minister for interior Abdulrahman Danbazau which was sign by the permanent secretary of the ministry Bassey Okon Akpanyung and released today states that the extention is as a result of the decision of the president - General of the Nigeria Supreme council for Islam Affairs, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, to extend the Ramadam fast to today July 5 following the non sighting of the moon.
