SPOILER ALERT: Heart-throb Tom Hiddleston had a gun put to his head and Australian star Elizabeth Debicki's character was tortured in a bath in last night's finale (left) of the BBC1 hit and a bloodied photo of her was sent (bottom right). More gore ensued when Hiddleston's character Jonathan Pine turned killer (top right). The series has attracted six million viewers, and rumours are abound that a second series may be commissioned.
