Google boss Matt Brittin refuses to reveal salary despite buying £4m Victorian house
Google boss Matt Brittin, 47 (bottom right), who sparked mockery and criticism when he claimed he could not remember how much he is paid, is buying himself a £4million Victorian house in south-west London (left). The Google Europe president was called to give evidence to the House of Commons public accounts committee last month after his firm arranged to pay £130million in back taxes - despite annual sales of £4.5billion in the UK. When MPs sought to illustrate how wealthy the multinational firm is by asking Mr Brittin his pay, he claimed he 'didn't have the figure'. He is now, buying a large double-fronted house, which boasts a 120ft-long back garden, for around £4million. Four times the size of the average British home, it has six bedrooms, several reception rooms (top right) and a spacious kitchen. The property also boasts three bathrooms, a large conservatory, a garden office, wine cellar and double garage.
