Could YOU survive in the isolated wilderness ... a short walk from the pub, chip shop and bakery? Channel 4 under fire for 'survival' show being filmed suspiciously close to mod cons

Channel 4 under fire for 'survival' show Year Zero filmed close to mod cons
The year-long series, called Year Zero, is set in the picturesque Cul na Croise Bay (circled), in the Scottish Highlands. The programme claims the contestants will be 'cut off from the rest of the world' and describes the setting as 'in the wilderness' and 'in a remote and isolated part of the northern hemisphere'. As rural as the location may be, it is less than five miles from a fishing store in the village of Acharacle, Lochaber, where they could go to buy equipment to catch food, or if they are really lazy they could just pop next door to Mo's Fish & Chips and the bakery. And if the stress of their new living arrangements gets they could nip to the Loch Shiel Hotel for a pint or two. Acharacle, close to the set, also has a convenience store and public toilets which the contestants will be free to use if they wander off.
