England star Adam Johnson 'sent lewd grooming messages to schoolgirl, 15, the SAME MINUTE he was texting his partner about their newborn daughter'
Footballer Adam Johnson (pictured left, and right with his girlfriend Stacey Flounders) befriended and messaged an avid young Sunderland fan who idolised him to the point of having his name on the back of her shirt, a court has heard. The 15-year-old told him how old she was but he said she looked older before signing her football shirt and asking for a 'thank you kiss', the jury were told. On his second meeting with the youngster, the footballer then put his hand down her trousers and she performed a sex act on him, prosecutors said. He then looked up the 'legal age of consent' online, the court heard. Prosecutors said the disgraced footballer messaged the schoolgirl after the sexual activity, in the same minute that he told his girlfriend their newborn daughter was 'class' (messages inset). Johnson denies two counts of sexual activity with a child.
