Fans were left devastated after news of the singer's death emerged yesterday morning. Footage of the organist at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow went viral after they were spotted playing a spine-tingling rendition of the 1970s hit (left). A clip showed staff standing alongside members of the public as they listened to the moving tribute (right). The scene was the same in St Albans, Hertfordshire, as organ scholar Nicholas Freestone also chose to play the single yesterday, much to the delight of fans who labelled it 'special' and 'stunning'. David Bowie is pictured in 1997 (inset).
