Society's most shamelessly pushy sisters: Suki and Immy Waterhouse - the Harley Street doctor's daughters - who are becoming a household name
- The Delevingnes may soon be eclipsed by a new bevy of doe-eyed sisters
- Thanks to modern tools of celebrity, the Waterhouse girls are high-society
- Suki and little sister Immy have been snapped at numerous glitzy events
- They are the children of Harley Street plastic surgeon Norman Waterhouse
Well brought-up, willowy sisters with a highly decorative life. That description could once have been applied to the Mitfords, the debutantes who scandalised the Thirties. Or the middle-class Middletons; one now a Duchess who will one day be Queen, the other still intriguingly single.
Even the Delevingnes, high-society family of the ubiquitous supermodel Cara and her older sisters Chloe and Poppy, have forged their way into the public imagination.
But those Delevingnes may soon be eclipsed by a new bevy of doe-eyed sisters: the Waterhouse girls from West London.
Thanks to those modern tools of celebrity, selfies and social media site Instagram, Suki Waterhouse and her little sister Immy are doing their level best to ensure that theirs becomes a household name.

Meanwhile, Immy — possibly with a little help from her big sister — has secured modelling campaigns, magazine covers and acting roles. Dior flew her to the Cannes Film Festival, and she has been a Tatler cover girl. Both sisters have modelled for U.S. designer Tommy Hilfiger.
They have also been snapped at numerous glitzy events, such as George Clooney’s Halloween party in Los Angeles in October.
So who are these Waterhouse girls?
The eldest of four siblings — as well as Immy there are 16-year-old twins Maddi, another budding model, and Charles — Suki was born in 1992 to Norman Waterhouse and his wife Elizabeth, a former nurse.
A plastic surgeon who built a Harley Street practice, Norman — ‘Normy’ to his children — specialises in facelifts and appears unfazed by his daughters’ growing fame, having, in his own words, ‘operated on household names, some of them internationally famous’.
Indeed, he is now the go-to man for society beauties seeking a discreet nip and tuck — and Suki attributess her flawless glow to her father’s range of skincare treatments.
In the past fortnight, Suki, 24, and Immy, 21, have been on a family holiday in Barbados (pictured), hanging out with stars. Pictures of the two models frolicking in the surf or larking about in sunhats have been all over the internet
The sisters are the eldest of four, the family of Harley Street surgeon Norman Waterhouse. Suki Waterhouse and Immy Waterhouse attend the UGG Classic Escape to celebrate the iconic Classic Boot at Soho Farmhouse
In 2002, Norman, 61, co-founded a charity called Facing The World, which specialises in performing cranio-facial surgery on disadvantaged children.
A self-described ‘former tomboy’, Suki had a privileged childhood in Chiswick, West London, growing up in a six-bedroom house overlooking the Thames and attending £18,390-a-year Ibstock Place School nearby.
At 14, she first stepped into celebrity circles when she befriended schoolmate Georgia May Jagger, daughter of Rolling Stone Sir Mick and Jerry Hall, after the girls met on a netball court.
Norman admits he was ‘disappointed’ when his eldest daughter dropped out of school before completing her AS-levels to pursue a career in fashion. ‘Having said that, she confounded my negative perceptions about modelling by being very good at it,’ he said proudly in 2011.
While high-fashion campaigns initially eluded her, 5ft 9in Suki, whose real name is Alice (Suki is her middle name) quickly picked up work as a commercial model.

She made her debut as the ‘face’ of Marks & Spencer lingerie four years ago and has since posed for brands including Coast and French Connection with her trademark messy bed-hair, thick fringe and eyeliner flick.
She then leapt to public attention with two rock star boyfriends in succession.
First was singer Luke Pritchard, of British band The Kooks. The romance began in 2010, and she and Pritchard dated for more than a year.
Although she was said to be ‘devastated’ when that relationship ended, months later she was stepping out with Miles Kane, frontman of a band called The Last Shadow Puppets.
She and Kane, six years older than Suki, were a regular fixture on the London social scene for nearly a year. Then things got a little messy.
Just weeks after Kane declared in an interview that Suki was ‘the love of my life’, she was seen in the early hours heading to London’s Connaught Hotel with Bradley Cooper.
Cooper was 36 and in the middle of a huge publicity campaign for his hit film Silver Linings Playbook, in which he starred with Jennifer Lawrence. Meanwhile, Suki had not yet split publicly from Kane.
But luck seemed to be on Suki’s side. Months after meeting Cooper, she was fronting a campaign for the fashion house Burberry. Suki said she landed the job after finding herself working out next to Burberry creative consultant Elliott Smedley in a Kensington gym. It couldn’t have hurt, of course, that on Cooper’s arm she was attending starry events such as the Oscars in Los Angeles and the Met Ball in New York.
But there were reports of unease in the romance from the outset.
On the set of the movie American Hustle, which again teamed Cooper with Jennifer Lawrence, his co-star apparently had her nose put out of joint because Cooper, whom ‘she saw as her property’, was spending every spare moment with Suki.
A source said: ‘Suki has Bradley marching to the beat of her drum. First, she clicked her fingers and he invited her to Boston, even when he was busy filming his latest movie. Then she told him she wanted to be romanced in Paris. He immediately organised it, no expense spared.’
The troubles were not confined to Cooper’s side, however.
Suki was said to be jealous of Cooper’s co-stars, in particular Sienna Miller, with whom he starred in the film American Sniper.
They finally split in March 2015. His friends said he had hoped to start a family with Suki, and had been very hurt by her decision to spend Valentine’s Day partying with friends in Texas while he remained in New York, acting on Broadway.
Suki has spent much of 2015 working and partying with well-heeled friends in Los Angeles. She attended California music festival Coachella in a group that included Princess Eugenie, and in March made her debut on the cover of British Vogue.

This year Suki will appear in horror film Pride And Prejudice And Zombies alongside Downton Abbey actress Lily James and former Doctor Who Matt Smith.
So it should come as little surprise that Immy is now eagerly following in her sister’s footsteps.
She is signed up to the same modelling agency, TESS Management — which has even signed up youngest sister Maddi, too.
A graduate of the Oxford School of Drama, Immy made her catwalk debut alongside Georgia May Jagger at London Fashion Week in February 2015, but is determined to act. Her boyfriend is George Eve, the actor/musician son of Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Sixteen-year-old Maddi, studying at £17,601-a-year Harrodian School, has already appeared on the October cover of Teen Tatler and landed her first modelling campaign.
When she’s not striking a pose, Maddi runs with a glossy West London crowd that includes David Beckham’s son Brooklyn.
The Waterhouse sisters boast a combined following of almost 1.5 million on Instagram, yet only Maddi has expressed any interest in going to university.
On the plus side, the girls are using their fame to bring some welcome publicity to Norman’s charity. Suki is an ambassador, and among the selfies on her social media feed are pictures of her meeting some of the charity’s patients.
While rumours of jealousy plague the Delevingne siblings, Suki insists her sisters remain ‘very close’.
As for brother Charlie, a budding designer, he keeps a low profile. Tellingly, he opted to escape the female-dominated household and goes to boarding school. Wise lad.
