Alexandra Mezher, 22, was attacked shortly before 8am at her place of work, a housing facility for unaccompanied refugee children in Molndal, near Gothenburg. The centre is home to ten children aged 14-17, who have all arrived in Sweden seeking asylum without a parent or a guardian. The alleged attacker is a 15-year-old boy, who was then apprehended by other children living at the centre. Miss Mezher was taken to Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg, but died as a result of her injuries. Officers discovered a knife at the scene and the teenager has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. Today, her mother Chiméne Mezher, 42, spoke of her heartbreak after the shock stabbing of her daughter, just months after she started working at the refugee housing. 'She was my air, she was my everything, why her,' a distraught Mrs Mezher told local media.
