Jasmine Lapsley choked on a grape as Morfa Nefyn ambulance took 30 minutes to arrive

Father tells of his frantic efforts to revive daughter, six, as she choked to death on a grape and the family waited 30 minutes for an ambulance

A six-year-old girl choked to death on a grape after it took an ambulance 30 minutes to reach her. Jasmine Lapsley (right) was playing cards on a family holiday in Morfa Nefyn, north Wales, when she started choking on the fruit. Her parents Robert and Kathleen Lapsley (left) were today forced to relive the 'nightmare' experience as an inquest opened into the young girl's death. The coroner, Nicola Jones, commented that one issue would be whether there was anything any individual or organisation could have done 'which could have resulted in a different outcome'.
