Camerons enter son for top London private school: Eton-educated PM considers prestigious £18,000-a-year prep for nine-year-old Elwen despite sending his daughter to state school... and calling the fees 'crazy'
The Prime Minister and his wife Samantha (together, left) have discussed obtaining a place at £18,000-a-year Colet Court Preparatory School (right), part of the exclusive St Paul's School in Barnes, South-West London. Pupils often go on to leading public schools, including Eton, where Mr Cameron was educated. This is despite the politician having previously said he would like his children to attend state schools. Allies of the Prime Minister last night rejected suggestions that he is guilty of hypocrisy. They pointed out that he had never ruled out the possibility that he and wife Samantha could educate their children privately.
