Hunt for Paris massacre jihadists after shootout in Brussels: Three police officer injured and 'suspects on run' after anti-terror raid

Two men with Kalashnikov assault rifles opened fire on officers when they prepared to storm a suspected jihadi safehouse in the Belgian capital this afternoon. Three police officers were injured in the shoot-out and one of the gunmen has gone on the run. Pictures showed a victim being loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher (centre), but it was not clear whether it was a policeman or a suspect. Police have now surrounded the building with snipers after scrambling to kit up (top and bottom left) and dashing to take up their positions (right). Officers are said to be acting on a tip off related to last November's terror attacks in Paris when 130 people were murdered by an ISIS cell. The raid took place in the Forest neighbourhood, close to Molenbeek, where several jihadis behind the massacre lived, including the world's most wanted man Salah Abdeslam.
