In sickness and in health: Groom saves his bride-to-be by giving her half his LIVER so they can walk down the aisle

Sutton Coldfield man saves his bride-to-be by giving her half his LIVER
A selfless groom saved the life of his bride-to-be by giving her half of his liver so that they can walk down the aisle together. Clare Beams, 24, from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, (pictured right) suffered from biliary atresia - a condition which causes inflammation of the bile ducts - and it was having a devastating impact on how her liver functioned. The debilitating illness was making her life hell and when she was warned by doctors that she could face liver failure if she did not get a transplant - fiancé Paul Jones, 29, (pictured left with Clare) rushed to her aid.
