'Dead bodies are strewn over tube trains after a tower block collapses into a station' as emergency services carry out a drill for Europe's biggest disaster response
Blood-covered 'victims', fake dead bodies and hundreds of actors with fake sliced limbs and open wounds were strewn across the site of Europe's largest ever disaster response drill (pictured left and top right). The scenario involves a tower block collapsing on to the bustling Waterloo Tube station, which has been partially built in a disused power station in Kent. Teams from four different countries will use the drill to put into practise the skills needed in the event of a major emergency, such as a terror attack. Pictured bottom right, volunteers have wounds painted on to their bodies before they take their places.
