1. Matsumoto Castle
You’ve seen plenty of pictures of Japanese castles, we’re sure. To be sure, there are many amazing ones! One of the best might be this one, which fully looks the part of all the others that you’ve seen in storybooks. This castle, however, is somewhat different than the rest. Many Japanese castles were built on mountains for natural protection, whereas this one was built on flat land, where walls and moats protected it.
