The unique tank allows visitors to be just inches away from the bears - while safely behind bulletproof glass.
The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat is the only captive bear facility in the world which is solely dedicated to polar bears.
Bullet-proof glass separates a young spectator from Ganuk the polar bear.
Ganuk is one of two polar bears currently living at the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat in Ontario.
Centre manager Karen Cummings said: 'It seems to garner a lot of interest and it gets an unbelievable reaction.
'You can hear the visitors laughing and screaming from far, far away.
'They are good screams though - exclamations of joy. It is an experience that everyone should do.'
The sanctuary in Ontario, Canada, opened in 2004 and roughly gets 15,000 visitors a year.
