The unique tank allows visitors to be just inches away from the bears - while safely behind bulletproof glass. 
The Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat is the only captive bear facility in the world which is solely dedicated to polar bears.

Centre manager Karen Cummings said: 'It seems to garner a lot of interest and it gets an unbelievable reaction.
'You can hear the visitors laughing and screaming from far, far away.
'They are good screams though - exclamations of joy. It is an experience that everyone should do.'
The sanctuary in Ontario, Canada, opened in 2004 and roughly gets 15,000 visitors a year.
