It's just like a Michelangelo! Epic New Year's Eve photo of drunken carnage on the streets of Manchester spawns a string of 'artistic' memes
A picture of Manchester during the New Year's Eve celebrations (left) has gone viral after social media users turned it into hilarious memes. The original picture of a chaotic Well Street was posted by Roland Hughes on Twitter. It shows a man being restrained by police in the middle of the road, a woman shouting down at them and also another man - dressed all in blue - lying on the ground with his T-shirt coming up above his belly and his arm stretching to hold on to his beer bottle. The internet's response has been brilliant, with one user even attaching it to Michaelangelo's The Creation of Adam (bottom right), which was painted in 1511, and also the Golden Ratio (top right).
