Horse sanctuary worker who split with her boyfriend was killed after 'he stabbed her more than 80 times in a sustained and brutal attack that left the knife badly bent'

Laura Davies’s ex-boyfriend Jordan Taylor ‘stabbed her over 80 times after split'
Jordan Taylor, 22, (right) allegedly exacted 'terrible revenge' on 21-year-old animal lover Laura Davies (main picture and bottom left at work) outside the Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society, in Pitsea, Essex. Taylor was overcome with 'anger and jealousy' after Miss Davies ended their relationship (together top left) and stabbed her repeatedly in a frenzied attack as he chased her through the sanctuary, a jury was told. One witness said he saw Taylor crouching over her body and stabbing her as she screamed: 'Please stop.' The court heard that Miss Davies was stabbed 18 times in the face, six times on her right arm, 18 times on her left arm, 15 times on her torso, six times on her right leg, eight times on her left leg, eight times on her back and three at the back of her head. During today's hearing, the court was shown shocking CCTV footage of the attack, taken shortly after 8pm on July 3 last year. During the nine-minute clip, the jury could see Miss Davies' head falling backwards and forwards in what Mr Gair said was the result of Taylor's frenzied attack.
