'Injured' Nottingham policewoman Zoe Hallam SACKED after being seen sailing and cylingPolicewoman who told bosses she had to retire on medical grounds as a crash left her 'unable to sit' is SACKED after being seen sailing, cycling and taking a driving holiday

Zoe Hallam told colleagues at Nottinghamshire Police she was unable to sit and could not drive for more than 15 minutes after being injured in a car crash in 2011. But the 48-year-old - who had been an officer for 25 years - was covertly filmed enjoying a family holiday in a motorhome in France, where she was seen rowing a dinghy and cycling. She was also caught asking a photographer not to take pictures of her dancing at a Northern Soul night as she was 'at war' with her employer. Hallam has now been sacked from the force for gross misconduct following a panel hearing. Debra Powell, representing the force's professional standards department, called it the most 'flagrant and outrageous abuse' of taxpayers' money. Speaking about the surveillance of her holiday, Assistant Chief Constable Simon Torr added: 'She looked like a mother enjoying a family holiday.'
