'I only discovered who mummy was as she lay dying': Woman held captive for 30 years by Maoist cult overheard members saying she was 'Sian's daughter' after her mother mysteriously fell out of bathroom window
A woman born into a Maoist cult which held her captive for 30 years has described the heartbreaking moment she realised a dying member of the collective was her mother. The former prisoner, who can only be named as Fran, found out by chance that her mother was cult member Sian Davies, who suffered an agonising death after falling from a bathroom window in mysterious circumstances. The Mail on Sunday can reveal Fran overheard women in the collective refer to her as 'Sian's daughter' following the incident in 1996, when she was only 13 years old.
