'Devout' US Muslim and his Saudi wife left their baby at home to storm back to office Christmas party with automatic weapons and slaughter 14 of his colleagues before dying in police shoot-out.
Syed Rizwan Farook (pictured top right) and his wife Tashfeen Malik, 27, burst into a celebration at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, southern California, dressed in body armor and opened fire with assault rifles. Pictured above is the bloody aftermath of the police chase which ended in their deaths. An unidentified body can be seen outside the black SUV they used to flee police, shooting out the back window and throwing items designed to look like pipe bombs as they went. Fourteen people died and a further 17 were injured during the attack, which came not long after Farook, a local government health inspector, had stormed out of the gathering. He and Malik, whom he met online and brought back from Saudi Arabia just months ago to be his wife, started the massacre just hours after he left the party.
