Bride-to-be, 25, reveals how she was left with a scar from her ear to her chin after mole she had for 10 years is found to be deadly melanoma
Gemma Cottam, from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, had her mole removed (left and circled) after it started catching on her clothes. But further tests revealed the cancer had spread and she then needed surgery to remove lymph nodes (pictured middle top and bottom). The supermarket employee has documented her journey on Facebook to raise awareness of the deadly disease. 'It's every girl's worst nightmare to have something so visible across your face - something so painful and horrible too, but I won't let it get to me, I want to inspire people,' she said.
