The boss of British Airways has threatened to expand the business overseas rather than in the UK if no final decision is made over a new runway at Heathrow Airport. Writing exclusively in the Daily Mail, Willie Walsh warns he will take his business elsewhere if a third runway is not built. Mr Walsh, who heads International Airlines Group - BA's parent company - says he could refocus operations in Ireland and Spain. 'We now have airlines in Dublin and Madrid, and can expand our business there,' he writes.
